Bambesch is a pretty forest located at the gates of Luxembourg city. Luxembourg City has a total of 97,16 km of forest tracks, most of them being in Bambesch. It is very safe and there are a lot of trails available to walkers, joggers, bikers and even horse riders. You will find your happiness during a walk, a mountain bike ride or by enjoying a family picnic. In the forest, the trails are well indicated. You can consult a map on the ville de Luxembourg website and download it on your smartphone before heading out.
Depending on where you are coming from, we suggest parking at Fraiheetsbam, Juegdschlass, Sieweburen or Tennis Spora. Each of those starting points has its advantage. Fraiheetsbam is located just outside Strassen and has a nice playground for kids and tons of parking. Juegdschlass or Sieweburen are convenient because there’s a nice restaurant (with luxembourgish specialties) plus playground on both locations. Tennis Spora is the starting point of a fitness trail over 2.7k with 18 different exercises on the way. It’s also the location of the biggest playground in the forest and there are big tables for a picnic. Here as well you’ll find a restaurant, specializing in Sushi this time.
