Located right on Sheikh Zayed Road, Sofitel Dubai Downtown is only a 20 minutes drive from Dubai International airport. This five star property offers panoramic views of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. Dubai Mall is in walking distance through an air conditioned walkway. The metro station is right beside the hotel.

Sofitel Dubai Downtown – The Suite
The room is beautifully furnished with modern equipment in nice tones. It is very spacious and we enjoyed the great views on Sheikh Zayed road on one side and Burj Khalifa on the other. Housekeeping did a great job, as the room was always very clean. Furthermore the Suite offers a lot of seating and having a Nespresso machine at disposal is a big plus.
The bathroom equally matched the nice Suite. Double sink, a large shower, a bath tub with view on Sheikh Zayed and Lanvin products, making it a top notch hotel bathroom.
In the evening a butler passed by the floors with a trolley to offer sweets and chocolates. It’s the little things that make all the difference!
Pool and Spa
The pool staff is very efficient. As soon as we entered the pool area they took us to loungers and made sure we were comfortable. The fitness room is well equipped. We did not have time to try the spa, but it looked very promising.
Breakfast at Les Cuisines
Breakfast at Les Cuisines offers many varieties from fresh thai and indian cuisine, to lebanese or english breakfast. Not to forget a waffles and pancake station. There’s also a special kids corner with dips and sweets.
