Hilton Dubrovnik Imperial Hotel Review

For the last night of our 3 day roadtrip through Croatia we stayed in Dubrovnik. We choose the Hilton because it was right in the city center, 2 minutes walking from the old town. You do not have to worry to park your car as they have a valet parking service (27€), very convenient in an area where parking is impossible or costs you 80€ for 24h. Hilton Dubrovnik Imperial is set in a beautiful ancient building built in 1895.

So after stopping at the entrance, we headed to the frontdesk for the check in. It was done quickly, we got a map plus mini guide about the hotel and despite the official check in time at 2 pm, we got our room immediately.

The Room at Hilton Dubrovnik Imperial

Located on the third floor, our room was facing the hotel entrance. It is quite spacious, with a complimentary bottle of water, free tea and coffee. The Bathroom has a bath tub and a toilet, which is not separate. You’ll also find a small desk and a small sofa to relax.

Hilton Dubrovnik Imperial Hotel Review
As we stayed only for one night and had a heavy program ahead of us with the visit of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, we did not try the hotel facilities. We nevertheless took the time to have a look at it. The fitness room is more on a small size, there’s an indoor pool, a sauna and a hammam. But we would not book the hotel because of that. The facilities look rather dated.

Porat Restaurant at Hilton Dubrovnik Imperial

After eating one of the worst lunches ever in the city center, we decided to have dinner at the Hilton Dubrovnik Imperial. The cozy Lounge Bar and Porat Restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine in a nice setting on the terrace are the perfect place to chill out. We had a glass of Croatian white wine and a plate of Croatian charcuterie in the lounge area, before heading to our table for the rest of the dinner. A delicious fillet of sea bream and a chocolate moelleux concluded our last evening in Croatia.

As we were planning to leave at 5.30 am the next day, we checked out already in the evening. We informed the front desk that we would need the car and a take away breakfast (as breakfast only starts at 7). We left as foreseen and everything was ready! Perfect service!
