After a week in Seoul, we headed to Shanghai. Just like in Seoul, we ended up staying at the Four Seasons Hotel. So glad we did! Read on to find out why you should consider staying at Four Seasons Shanghai Pudong with Kids.

The hotel is located on Century Avenue in the centre of Shanghai’s financial district. Travel time to Pudong International Airport is 45 minutes. The Bund area can be reached in 10 minutes.

Four Seasons Shanghai Pudong with Kids – The Lobby

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi we were greeted by friendly and smiling staff who escorted us to the front desk. The kids were offered pandas and we were swiftly taken to our room. The lobby area is on the ground floor, while the rooms, pool and Spa are located on floors 30-41. The Concierge team is most helpful in organizing tickets, restaurant reservations or transportation.  Just tell them where you want to go and they’ll provide you with all the information you need. You don’t have to worry, they take care of everything with a smile!

Four Seasons Shanghai Pudong with Kids – The Room

We booked a Club Room with two double beds. Located on the 39th floor the spacious room is beautifully furnished in a contemporary style and offers access to the Executive Lounge. The room is equipped with the latest technology and a large working desk. We were treated to adorable chocolates and sweets upon arrival. Child- sized bathrobes and slippers, bathroom amenities, pencils and coloring books were waiting for A and C.

The marble bathroom is equipped with a double sink a separate shower and toilet, as well as a soaking tub.

A coffee maker, water kettle and a well furnished mini bar complete the room. A and C loved finding special treats that have been left for them in the room. No other hotel has ever been so caring for our children than Four Seasons Shanghai Pudong. A and C have always been called by their names and made feel so welcome.

Four Seasons Shanghai Pudong with Kids – The Executive Lounge

Having access to the Executive Lounge made our stay in Shanghai so much more enjoyable. Most of the time we enjoyed breakfast here. Although the selection of food is smaller than at the main restaurant Camelia, we prefer the more private setting of the Club Lounge. Located on the 35th floor, the views from the Executive Lounge are breathtaking. After a day of sightseeing we loved to indulge in a glass or two of champagne and eating little snacks. From the second day the staff knew our name and drinking habits and brought out our drinks as soon as we were seated. They were very professionnel and kind. We are still dreaming about the amazing Dim Sum and chinese rolls! The omelett made to order for breakfast was outstanding as well.

Four Seasons Shanghai Pudong with Kids – Breakfast at Camelia

One morning we decided to have breakfast at Camelia. There was a large choice of Asian food, a noodle and egg station, fruits and bakery items. As said before we prefer the more intimate setting of the Executive Lounge although you have less to chose from. Service and English comprehension leave room for improvement.

The Four Seasons Shanghai Pudong pool is definitely out of the ordinary! Located on the 41th floor, the view over Pudong is sheer amazing. Next to the lap pool is a hot tub in which we spend quite some time relaxing on the loungers and taking in the view.
