Review of Tofuya Ukai Restaurant in Tokyo

From what we know from Tofu in Europe, we have to admit that visiting a restaurant where the speciality is Tofu was not really high on our to-do-list in Japan. But as Tofuya Ukai Restaurant in Tokyo was recommended to us by people who appreciate good food, we thought that we should give it a try. So glad we did !

From what we know from Tofu in Europe, we have to admit that visiting a restaurant where the speciality is Tofu was not really high on our to-do-list in Japan. But as this place was recommended to us by people who appreciate good food, we thought that we should give it a try. So glad we did !

 

 

First of all, the kids are welcome at Tofuya Ukai. When you arrive, you enter a nice lobby where you are picked up by a waiter that will take you to your table, or more precisely, to your private dining room. After walking through a beautiful japanese garden, you arrive in a very traditional japanese room where the tatami is waiting for you. The huge window gives you magical views on the japanese garden with trees, plants and koi ponds.

 

 

Depending on the room you are allocated, you might also enjoy a breathtaking view on Tokyo Tower.

We are so glad that we experienced Tofuya Ukai Restaurant in Tokyo. The service was perfect, not intrusive and the food was excellent. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Don’t miss it if you happen to be in the Tokyo area. And make sure you book in advance!
