Kids at the grand parents for the weekend, Paris here we come !
After several stays at Sofitel Le Faubourg on previous trips, we gave the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe a try for this stay. The hotel is located close to the the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées which make it a perfect base to combine shopping and visiting Paris.
Hotel by night
The hotel building is very nice and as always at Sofitel, you get a warm welcome. We booked via their website and wrote as a remark that we would apreciate a room with a bath. Upon checkin, the employee told us “We saw that you would like to have a room with a bath, unfortunately most of our rooms have just a shower and all our rooms with bath are occupied… Therefore we have put you in one of our suites”. Well, that’s always nice to hear !
Our suite was at the penultimate floor, and once the door is open, you face a corridor with a complementary Nespresso coffee machine, tea and water.
Continue down the corridor and you will reach an open bathroom with a lovely bath. After a full day spent walking around Paris, it’s highly appreciated !
The room itself is not huge but of a very reasonable size for Paris. The bed was comfortable as always in Sofitel hotels.
And we had a small seating area and free Wifi.
Last but not least, a balcony with a beautiful view on the neighboring Haussmann buildings.
In the evening we had drinks and delicious Tapas at the bar. This was a perfect way to end our exhausting- food-filled days in Paris’s Michelin starred restaurants.
The Sofitel Arc de Triomph also features a small but state of the art fitness. We took some pictures but they somehow got lost (thanks hubby :o) ), so you have to believe us.
We had a great stay at the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe. Compared to Sofitel Le Faubourg I definitely liked the room better here but as I understand Le Faubourg is undergoing some room renovations. So we’ll have to visit again. Depending on the reason of your visit to Paris you might chose either of the two Sofitel hotels. You won’t be disappointed!
